The owner, Kara Gregory, taught music (choir, band, general music) in public schools for 15 years. Her degrees are Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music in Conducting. Most of her public school experience was in Southern Illinois, but she also taught at Oakwood Intermediate while living in College Station, TX. Although there were many frustrations teaching music, the final decision was her physical health.
This studio began officially in August of 2021. Its intent has always been to help students achieve their musical goals with an individualized curriculum that speaks directly to their next steps in this journey. As a former teacher, it has been helpful to know the school systems and the way music is widely taught. It is also helpful to have the experience of teaching complex music concepts using simple words.
Teaching music has been a huge part of Kara's life since before her college career began. It is a joy to have the privilege to continue teaching students of all ages to use their musical gifts!
